Chief Technology Officer
Carl E. Blay is a problem-solver at heart, and considers software development an effective fit for his passion for bridging business needs. Accordingly, he favours implementations with the requisite robustness as well as the pragmatic malleability demanded by the often inevitable changes that accompany the growth of a business.
After graduating with a degree in BSc. Electrical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Carl has worked with companies in the areas of language technology, agricultural technology, health and customer service. For close to 9 years, he’s taken on responsibilities ranging from developer, quality assurance engineer, system architect through to team lead on a number of ventures spanning different tools, technologies, programming languages and platforms.
Throughout this period, he’s had the privilege of training a number of software developers.
His entrepreneurial pursuits, coupled with work as a software consultant over the last 4 years, have given him a practical understanding of what it means to provide a sound technological base for a business. He’s committed to a transparent development process, hinged on industrial best practices, that puts priority on efficiency. His ultimate goal is to craft delightful experiences that translate to value for the business.
Although it’s very easy to find him behind a computer, he likes to keep in touch with his musical side on the guitar in his spare time. Want to reach out? You can tweet at him at @ceblay.
